All your credit cards gone; your train and bus tickets disappeared, and your dog-eared loyalty cards binned then you must be a victim, not of theft, but of the future– where the wallet,  passes, plastic cards and pocket have all gone digital and stay only on your mobile phone.

Welcome to the hi-tech life, Near Field Communications (NFC) that could already be in your Smartphone and soon going to be a regular feature of your commute.

Let’s know more about this futuristic tech:

At its core, all NFC identifies us and our bank account to a computer using simple technology of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). Low powerless link derived from radio frequencies from a very short range which transfer data between two devices held a few centimeters away from each other.

No pairing code is required like a Bluetooth as its very low power, even no battery being read in the device. You just need to tap your phone on a contactless payment machine in a store, coffee shop or railway station and it will identify your account and takes payment through an app on your phone. Thankfully, AVI Infosys has launched its latest android App with NFC support
